The Gospel Transforms Our Heart

Aug 2, 2026    Greg Batchelor

When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, something changes at the core of who we are. The Gospel does not simply improve our behavior. It transforms our hearts. Colossians 3:15-17 gives believers a clear picture of what that transformation looks like in everyday life. A heart transformed by the Gospel is ruled by the peace of Christ, dwells richly in the Word of Christ, and is motivated by the glory of God. True peace is not found in external circumstances like money, achievements, or relationships. It is produced by the Holy Spirit living within a person. The Word of God is meant to take up full residence in every area of life, not just Sunday mornings. Everything we do, in word and deed, should flow from love and gratitude toward God.
