Day 1: Rooted and Growing

Bible Verse
'By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.' - John 15:8
Have you ever watched a tree grow? It doesn't happen overnight. The strongest trees are those with deep roots that have weathered many seasons. Your spiritual life works the same way. When the gospel truly takes root in your heart, transformation begins to show in your daily life. You might not notice it at first, but others will. Your patience grows a little longer. Your love becomes more genuine. Your hope becomes more anchored. This isn't about perfection – none of us will achieve that this side of heaven. It's about transformation. It's about becoming more like Christ one day at a time. The beautiful truth is that spiritual growth isn't dependent on your effort alone. When you remain connected to Christ, the Holy Spirit produces fruit in your life naturally. Just like a healthy tree bears fruit in its season, a believer rooted in the gospel will display the character of Christ. Don't be discouraged if growth feels slow. God is working in you, developing spiritual maturity that will last for eternity.
Reflection Question:
What evidence of spiritual fruit do you see growing in your life compared to a year ago?
Quote:
Anytime something takes root, it begins to bear fruit. Listen, I want to tell you this morning, if you are a believer in Christ and the gospel has taken root in your life, people around you will see fruit, fruit bearer.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to remain rooted in You so that my life bears fruit that brings You glory. Grow me into the person You've called me to be.
