Day 2: United in One Body

Bible Verse
'All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.' - Isaiah 64:6
There's something beautiful about communion that goes beyond individual remembrance—it connects us to every believer who has ever lived. When we break bread from one common loaf, we're reminded that we're part of something much bigger than ourselves.

The person sitting next to you in church, the believer across the world, and even those who have gone before us—we're all united by the same sacrifice. This unity isn't based on our similarities or preferences; it's rooted in Christ's work on the cross. Sometimes church relationships can be challenging, but communion reminds us of an eternal truth: we're family. We're going to spend eternity together, so we might as well learn to get along now.

The bread we share represents not just Christ's body, but our collective identity as His body on earth.
Reflection Question:
How can remembering your unity with all believers change the way you interact with fellow Christians, especially those who are different from you?
Quote:
All Christians today, listen, we're going to spend eternity together. If you're a follower of Christ, we spend an eternity together, not just this congregation.
- Dr. Gregory Batchelor
Prayer:
Father, help me see other believers through Your eyes and remember that we are one body in Christ. Give me grace to love and serve my church family well.
