Day 1: Remembering the Ultimate Sacrifice
Bible Verse
'For I received from the Lord what I also deliver to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night when he was betrayed, he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it. And he said, this is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.'
- 1 Corinthians 11:23-24

- 1 Corinthians 11:23-24
When we gather around the communion table, we're not just participating in a religious ritual—we're connecting with the most pivotal moment in human history. Jesus took ordinary bread and wine and transformed them into powerful reminders of His extraordinary love.
His broken body and shed blood weren't just historical events; they were personal acts of love for you and me. Every time we partake, we're declaring that Christ's sacrifice was sufficient, complete, and life-changing. This isn't about perfection—it's about remembering what God has already done. The bread represents His body, broken so ours could be made whole. The cup represents His blood, shed so our sins could be washed away. In a world that constantly tells us we're not enough, communion reminds us that Jesus was enough for us all.

Reflection Question:
How does remembering Christ's sacrifice change the way you view your current struggles and challenges?

Quote:
My friends, before we take of the Lord's supper today, it is very important that we look back and we see what God has done for us in providing the ultimate sacrifice for our sin.

Prayer:
Lord, help me never to take Your sacrifice for granted. When I partake in communion, let it be a fresh reminder of Your incredible love for me.
