Day 1: When Life Gets Hard

Bible Verse
'Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God's elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.'
 - 1 Peter 1:1-2
We all know the feeling - when everything seems to be falling apart and the weight of the world feels unbearable. Whether it's financial stress, relationship struggles, health concerns, or simply the overwhelming nature of daily life, hardship is a universal human experience. The reality is that living in a fallen world means we will face trials.

But here's what changes everything: recognizing that these difficulties don't define us or defeat us. When we understand that challenges are part of the human experience, we can stop asking 'Why me?' and start asking 'How can I grow through this?' The storms of life are real, but they're not the end of our story. Every person you meet is fighting some kind of battle, and acknowledging this truth helps us approach both our own struggles and others' with greater compassion and understanding.
Reflection Question:
What current challenge in your life could become an opportunity for growth if you shifted your perspective?
Quote:
Life is hard. I could go across the room... here is the fact. All of us go through difficulties. We go through storms. Life is tough. Life is hard.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to see my struggles not as punishments but as opportunities to grow closer to You. Give me strength to face each day with hope.
