Day 5: Every Knee Will Bow

Bible Verse
'That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.' - Philippians 2:10-11
The resurrection isn't just about the past - it points to a future reality that will transform everything. One day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. This includes everyone: believers who chose Him willingly, skeptics who rejected Him, and even demonic forces that opposed Him. The resurrection guarantees this future moment when all creation acknowledges Jesus' lordship. This truth should fill us with both comfort and urgency. Comfort because we know how the story ends - Jesus wins. Urgency because people around us still have the opportunity to bow willingly rather than be compelled to bow. The resurrection gives us hope for ourselves and motivation to share that hope with others before it's too late.
Reflection Question:
Who in your life needs to hear about the hope of the resurrection before they face Jesus as judge rather than savior?
Quote:
At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth. And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father. - Pastor Greg
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me live with the urgency that comes from knowing every knee will bow. Use me to share Your love with those who need to hear.
