"You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

One of the most profound truths of the Christian faith is that we have been purchased - bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. This isn't just theological language; it's a reality that should transform how we view ourselves and live our lives. When we truly grasp that we've been bought with a price, everything changes.

We don't own our eyes, so we're careful about what we look at. We don't own our mouths, so we're intentional about what we say. We don't own our feet, so we're mindful about where we go. Every part of us belongs to Christ. This ownership isn't oppressive - it's protective. When we live with reverent fear, recognizing God's authority over our lives, we're living in the safety of His will. This fear isn't paralyzing terror but healthy awe and respect for the One who loves us enough to discipline us as His children. Understanding our true ownership helps us make better choices. When temptation comes, we can remember: "This body, this mind, this life - it all belongs to Jesus. How can I honor Him with what is His?"
