Day 3: The Price of Truth

Bible Verse
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.' - 1 Corinthians 15:17
Early Christians faced an impossible choice: deny the resurrection and live safely, or proclaim it and risk everything. They chose truth over comfort, often paying with their lives, homes, and relationships. Why would anyone make such a sacrifice for a lie? They wouldn't. These weren't naive people - they were eyewitnesses who had seen, touched, and eaten with the risen Christ. Their willingness to suffer and die validates the reality of what they experienced. Today, we may not face martyrdom, but we still face the choice between comfortable compromise and costly truth. The resurrection gives us courage to stand firm, knowing that what we believe isn't just true - it's worth everything.
Reflection Question:
What comfort or convenience might you need to sacrifice to live more boldly for the truth of the resurrection?
Quote:
To be a follower of Christ in the first century in Corinth, to be a follower of Christ in the first century of the Roman Empire, it could cost people their lives, it could cost people their homes, it could cost people their jobs, it could cost people their friends. - Pastor Greg
Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage of the early Christians to choose truth over comfort. Help me live worthy of the price You paid.
