Day 3: Hope for Tomorrow

Bible Verse
'Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.' - John 14:1-3
Communion isn't just about looking back—it's about looking forward with hope. Every time we partake, we're declaring our belief that Jesus is coming back. This isn't wishful thinking; it's a promise from the One who conquered death. Life can be incredibly difficult. We face disappointments, losses, and struggles that sometimes feel overwhelming. But communion reminds us that this isn't the end of the story.

Jesus promised to prepare a place for us and return to take us home. This hope isn't meant to make us passive; it should motivate us to live faithfully while we wait. When we remember that we're one day closer to His return than we've ever been before, it puts our current circumstances in perspective. The difficulties we face today are temporary, but the joy that's coming is eternal.
Reflection Question:
How does the promise of Christ's return give you strength to face today's challenges with hope and perseverance?
Quote:
Today, we're one day closer than we've ever been before. And we know this. Jesus is coming back. That's a fact. Jack, you can take that to the bank.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for the promise of Your return. Help me live each day with eternal perspective, knowing that You are preparing a place for me.
