Day 1: Don't Keep It to Yourself

Bible Verse
"Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders that He has done." - Psalm 78:1-4
Think about the best news you have ever received. Maybe it was a job offer, a clean bill of health, or the birth of a child. When something that good happens, you tell people. You cannot help it. The goodness of God deserves that same response. He has provided for you in ways you did not expect. He has guided you through seasons you did not think you would survive. He has restored things you thought were gone for good. That is not just your story to keep. It is a testimony meant to be shared. Psalm 78 opens with a direct charge: do not hide these things. Tell the coming generation. Speak openly about what God has done. When you do, you are not just sharing a memory. You are handing someone else an anchor for their own faith. This is especially true for the young people around you. They are watching how you talk about God. They are listening to whether your faith sounds real or rehearsed. When you speak honestly about how He has shown up in your life, it gives them something to hold onto when life gets hard. You do not need a stage or a microphone. You just need to open your mouth and tell the truth about who God is and what He has done. Start today. Share one thing God has done for you with someone who needs to hear it.
Reflection Question:
When was the last time you told someone, especially someone younger, about something specific God has done in your life?
Quote:
"We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord and His might and the wonders that He has done."
Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage and the habit of speaking openly about Your goodness. Let my words build faith in the people around me, especially the next generation. Amen.
